Confidentiality

Confidentiality is inherent and protected by law in psychotherapy and psychological assessment services. If you need me to discuss anything related to your treatment or assessment to another person you will need to provide written permission for that communication to occur.

There are exceptions to confidentiality:

1. If the client threatens to cause imminent danger to himself/herself or physical harm to another person I have to contact the appropriate authorities and the intended victim.

2. Child or dependent adults abuse. I will notify the appropriate agency/ authorities.
